and helps the state know which districts need the most assistance.

| How does our district's achievement over time compare to the state? |
|
In 2015, approximately half of Massachusetts' students in grades 3-8 took PARCC ELA and mathematics tests. The remaining students, including students in grade 10, participated in ELA and mathematics MCAS tests. All students in grades 5, 8, and 10 took science MCAS tests. |

| What else should you know about our district? |
| The Worcester Public Schools' Compact states "100 percent of students will be guaranteed a rigorous core curriculum resulting in measurable gains in student learning". It is the promise we make to the students, families, and the Worcester community. Dr. Marco Rodrigues Interim Superintendent, remarks consistently. We are neither satisfied nor complacent, but we are proud of what has been accomplished". We will continue to set high expectations and to deliver high quality teaching and learning to fulfill our promise. |
