Goal #1 |
SSU will reevaluate parity for pre-practicum and practicum across all programs and consistency in supervision. |
Goal #2 |
Reevaluate and then "right size" the gateway assessments based on data and evaluation. Operationalize the reorganization of the school to improve our students' experience and for overall greater efficiency. |
Goal #3 |
Recalibrate for MTEL and alternative to MTELs; we are not having enough success preparing students. |
Annual Goals - 2020 |
|
Educator preparation program improvement goals from the prior year |
Goal #1 |
SSU will continue to utilize data and analysis to make decisions around candidate readiness and site placement. Our goal is to secure funding for additional software and resources to improve our data management system. |
Goal #2 |
SSU was approved to offer the Autism Endorsement as a certificate program within our M.Ed. Moderate Disabilities Initial License Program in July 2019. The program has received approval from university governance and will be implemented in Fall 2020. Our goal next year is to increase enrollment in both programs. |
Goal #3 |
The Initial Licensure programs have worked hard to pilot new Gateway Assessments within the 4&1 pathway and MAT/M.Ed. pathways. The majority of the programs are now fully aligned and integrated with the exception of the Moderate Disabilities program which has just completed revision. We are excited to begin the process of collecting data and evaluating the new assessments within the programs. |
