Annual Goals
This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Increase and enhance MTEL Supports for candidates required to take and pass English as a Second Language, Foundations of Reading and Communication and Literacy Skills. |

Prepare for successful offsite and onsite Program Review of all licensure programs in Fall 2019. |
Goal #3 |
Collaborate across the College and PK-12 partner districts to increase diversity of teachers candidates within bacc and post-bacc programs. |

Goal #1 |
Maintain or increase enrollment across both pathway programs serving Amherst and Holyoke public schools. |
Goal #2 |
Focus on new high needs licensure areas in special education and English language learning to increase enrollment and meet expressed hiring needs of local PK-12 partners. |
Goal #3 |
Full implementation of pre-practicum guidelines in fall of 2019 including consistent and aligned gateway assessments and observations. |

Goal #1 |
Increase number of pre-practicum hours at the graduate level in direct response to feedback from public school partners related to continuity and readiness for practicum. |
Goal #2 |
Design and offer MTEL preparation courses specifically targeting paraprofessional Pathway participants to support future candidates of color at program admission. |
Goal #3 |
Explore and design a Para to Teacher Futures program for the Amherst public schools in direct response to expressed district need. The goal is to enroll para educators of color from Amherst beginning in summer 2018. |
