What else should you know about our school? |
May Street School Best Practices English Language Arts, Mathematics and Science Leadership, Shared Responsibility, and Professional Collaboration * Analysis of writing in all disciplines to demonstrate comprehension. * Assess and formulate questions utilizing higher order thinking to deepen learning. * Vocabulary implemented utilizing a structured approach with fidelity. May Street School will implement the best practices, listed above, as a means to develop all learners to their fullest potential through an interdisciplinary approach. Through the analysis of writing we will work to increase higher order thinking skills in addition to the development of comprehension skills. A focused vocabulary program will further enhance student writing skill and development. We recognize the need to develop the social, emotional and academic skills of all students and seek to have students demonstrate ownership of their learning in all areas. Parental access to the teachers and administration add to the social, emotional and academic learning of their children and are a core piece of our mission. |
