What else should you know about our school? |
Kaleidoscope Collective for Learning: Nipmuc participated as one of 22 schools that made up the Kaleidoscope Collective for Learning - a group of schools that worked with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to develop innovative approaches to promote deeper learning. Advanced Placement (AP): Nipmuc has the highest achieving AP program and the second-highest AP enrollment percentage in the Blackstone Valley. In the past ten years, Nipmuc has increased AP offerings by 300%. In that time the number of exams administered has increased by 22% and the number of students earning qualifying scores has increased by 6%.
Innovative Practices: Nipmuc embraces opportunities for innovative programming including Inspired Learning Days, Financial Wellness Fairs, the EPIC Engineering Challenge, career shadowing, and Wellness Weeks. Additionally, Nipmuc is a member of the Mastery Transcript Consortium, pioneering an updated way of highlighting students stories of learning as part of the college admissions process. Nipmuc is also a member of the Canopy Project which shares stories of innovative schools.
Student Voice: Nipmuc Regional High School integrates student voice as a driver of school leadership. The schools Lead Learner Workshops, Food for Thought Lunches, and Shadow a Student Program provide regular opportunities for students and teachers to work collaboratively to design the future of teaching and learning at the school. |
