Mission of the School of Graduate and Adult Education
The mission of the School of Graduate and Adult Education is to transform lives by providing access to continuous learning opportunities for those who seek personal and professional growth. The School of Graduate and Adult Education aspires to extend the resources of the College to enable people to earn a degree on a part-time basis, day or evening, and to help them focus on their goals; to have faith in themselves; and to maintain the fortitude to finish what they start.
Mission of the Education Department
The preparation of highly qualified professional educators at American International College is based on a strong foundation in the liberal arts and sciences, with specialization in the core subject matter of the teaching area. In complement, the education program seeks to develop caring, dedicated individuals who possess the range of qualities and skills necessary to bring effective practice to the classroom or other educational settings. The integration of subject matter knowledge, education coursework, and practical application strives to provide a range of experiences that are both instructive and enriching for prospective educators.
