Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Annual Goals - 2024
Goal #1 Continue to evaluate the course work model for the undergraduate licensure programs to determine if the dual major is effective. Hoping to discover if early childhood and elementary majors can have a more intentional dual major or way to incorporate subject matter content.
Goal #2 Assess additional resources and supports for students to pass MTELs by time of graduation to ensure smooth licensure process. Exploring funding for test cost, preparation, and transportation costs will be a priority.

Annual Goals - 2023
Goal #1 Continue offering targeted meetings, twice a year, on topics relevant to partnerships to build engaged networks. Potential topics for next year came out of this years partnership meeting and include teacher resiliency, mathematics instruction, and early childhood pathways.
Goal #2 Evaluate the course work model for the undergraduate licensure programs to determine if the dual major is effective. Hoping to discover if early childhood and elementary majors can have a more intentional dual major or way to incorpoate subject matter content.
Goal #3 Evaluate the post-bac program in regards to students who are changing fields and entering education for the first time.

Annual Goals - 2022
Goal #1 Add additional faculty at the part time and full time levels to support instruction and advising of students.
Goal #2 Continually implement the candidate, completer, supervising practitioner, and program supervisor surveys each semester. Annualy conduct an analysis of the results and develop a strategic plan address areas of concern or to be developed.
Goal #3 Work to develop a more systematic structure for field based experiences with districts, schools, and community organizations.
