Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Annual Goals - 2025
Goal #1 Alignment to new DESE standards and mandates and revision of curriculum, practices, and policies to match, specifically considering standard 3 "Family and Community Engagement which unifies goals across Field-Based Experiences, Instruction, and Partnerships.
Goal #2 Building, re-engaging, reciprocal, and sustaining our own community of practice and stakeholders, including but not limited to supervising practitioners, site partners, and reimagine or redesign partnership processes and practices.
Goal #3 At the organization level, Emerson is switching Student Info System platforms and has already begun work with a vendor to implement Workday Student. The go-live date of Fall 2027 will mean that we will phase out Banner as our system of record. The College already uses Workday for finance and HR systems so by bringing the SIS into the Workday ecosystem it will mean that we will have more easily accessible, reportable, and actionable data to inform our policies and procedures. The Institutional Reporter/Certification Officer is a key team lead on the Workday project and will be able to speak to the reporting and data conversion needs of our licensure programs. At the program levels, utilize data from the field writ large and localized data pulled from sites, partners, and curriculum to reflect on and ensure that TCs, SPs, UPs, and SO are nimble, facile, and supportive to track the responsiveness of Emerson's program to the field's demands.

Goal #1 Continue to seek and secure field-based practicum experiences that will engage students in diverse learning experiences.
Goal #2 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Practices and Policies Guide Selection of Supervisors and Supervisor Training/Resources
Goal #3 Alignment to new DESE standards and mandates and revision of curriculum, practices, and policies to match.

Goal #1 Create and document changes within program, policies, practices, curriculum, and instruction to better align with national movements in the field and comparable programs across the nation.

Goal #3 Support for and Retention of Students of Color
