Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Annual Goals - 2024
Goal #1 The School of Education will continue to work with the PK-12 partnerships within the area public school districts to increase the diversity of the teacher candidate pipeline.
Goal #2 The School of Education will continue to expand the partnerships and identify PK-12 needs through developing and offering continuing education/coursework for professional development purposes and fine-tune the initial licensure track to enhance the critical shortage areas.
Goal #3 the School of Education will review and revise the academic programs within the licensure programs to reflect the initiatives in the areas of early literacy, anti-racism - diversity, special education, school counseling, and school leadership to enhance the current programs.

Annual Goals - 2023
Goal #1 To complete an annual systematic review of the SOE of the all programs, and develop a strategic plan to enhance the program outcomes and the future of the department.
Goal #2 To expand the partnerships within the area public school districts and enhance the current program offerings for initial licensure.
Goal #3 To expand structured procedural practices to support the tiered model of support and continue to enhance the handbooks for consistency and support.

Annual Goals - 2022
Goal #1 Finalize systematic review of course outcomes and syllabi, and develop a multi-year professional development plan through expanded orientation and training opportunities for faculty
Goal #2 To enhance partnerships with area districts to provide a pathway for teachers on emergency licensure to complete a graduate program and obtain initial licensure.
Goal #3 To further structure the Senior Instructor/Program Supervisors position to oversee the Program Supervisors and Supervising Practitioners which provide another layer of support for the candidate. Develop procedural practices to support the tiered model.
