Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Annual Goals - 2020
Goal #1 To implement Gateway Tasks in Prepracticum experiences.
Goal #2 Operationalize/pilot path to disseminate information to faculty for continuous improvement and instructional domain.
Goal #3 Develop a tracking system with benchmarks for the ongoing implementation of crosscutting SMKs that demonstrate a sample of students' understanding of integration of these into their program.

Annual Goals - 2019
Goal #1 Successfully integrate and implement pre-practicum experiences and gateway task assessments throughout Initial Licensure Programs
Goal #2 Ensure that changed Subject Matter Knowledge requirements align with Initial licensure program structure.
Goal #3 Develop an improved vehicle to share external and program evaluation data with faculty and curriculum experts within our college.

Annual Goals - 2018
Goal #1 Hiring a field-placement coordinator who will work with faculty and our partnership schools as well as systematically track candidates' participation in field-based experiences. Additionally, mentor teachers involved in providing written feedback to teacher candidates, will be invited to workshops which will introduce them to the pedagogy of the program and the type of feedback that will help students to improve their practice.
Goal #2 Initial Post-Baccalaureate Programs: For each content area, report CAP formative and summative evaluation data to faculty so as to ensure use of these data to target areas of candidate need and document actions taken based on these data.
Goal #3 Launch and gather data using revised surveys to internal and external stakeholders to use in continuous improvement efforts. Combine with information from EDWIN.
