Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Annual Goals - 2019
Goal #1 We will be looking at each of our licensed education programs to ensure they provide current knowledge and strategies to our students as well as align with all new SMK & PST
Goal #2 We will continue our efforts to ensure more teachers of color get into the public school classrooms. Utilizing our Diverse Educators Scholarship Program we will intentionally recruit students of color to go through our programs.
Goal #3 Enhancing our partnerships with public schools/districts is a continuous effort on our part; we will continue to work on increasing the number of partnerships we have.

Annual Goals - 2018
Goal #1 Focus on developing partnerships with schools of all levels from varying districts.
Goal #2 Continue to enhance field based experiences for cooperating teachers using CAP evaluation system and begin using the electronic portal
Goal #3 Grow the undergraduate pre-service programs in numbers

Annual Goals - 2017
Goal #1 Continue to work on updating both the Masters in Teaching Elementary and fully implement an assessment / revision of the undergraduate program as a whole.
Goal #2 Continue to prepare students for required MTEL exams and increase passing rate; strategies will include continue providing free MTEL tutorial sessions, and revisiting course work materials.
Goal #3 Develop partnerships with various school districts to work with our student teachers.
