Annual Goals
This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Successful implementation of redesigned competency-based Teacher Education Program and advisory component of program. |
Goal #2 |
Successful implementation of redesigned School Leadership Program that more clearly delineates principal licensure and school developer program and fieldwork pathways. |
Goal #3 |
Successful implementation of Reading Specialist candidate performance assessment, designed through cooperative planning with school partners and partners from other sponsoring organizations. |

Goal #1 |
Align both coursework and field-based experiences with the new Professional Standards for Teachers to submit action plan to ESE. |
Goal #2 |
As part of continuous improvement, determine if there is no longer a need to offer particular educator preparation programs. |
Goal #3 |
Apply learning from field testing of the assessment tasks of the Performance Assessment for Leadership to integrate modifications as needed to coursework and fieldwork in leadership program, as part of continuous improvement. |

Goal #3 |
Program modified coursework to expand alignment of course assignments to PAL tasks requirements. Intensified communication with school partners around candidate support so that access to field site resources provided deeper alignment with standards/indicators assessed PAL. Intensified support of coaches so that they can be effective in supporting candidates in fieldwork. Complemented candidate coursework with additional beyond class-time structured learning opportunities focused on Performance Assessment for Leaders. |
