Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Annual Goals - 2015
Goal #1 Transition to new chairperson
Goal #2 Use data, both quantitative and qualitative, to assess effectiveness and recommend adjustments
Goal #3 Review programs and course offerings to update

Annual Goals - 2014
Goal #1 Continuation of data analysis at end of semester for continuous improvement of courses and programs
Goal #2 Continue transitional staffing process to ensure continuity of quality in programs
Goal #3 Re-assess course offerings in all programs

Progress Toward Goals - 2014
Goal #1 Held assessment days at end of each smelter to review feedback from practice and pre-practica
Goal #2 Hired a new chairperson and entered discussions for further staff changes
Goal #3 Discussed course components to address new PST requirements

Annual Goals - 2013
Goal #1 Continue data analysis at the end of the semester to address issues and make recommendations.
Goal #2 Begin process for transitional staffing of programs.
Goal #3 Implement courses for SEI endorsement.

Progress Toward Goals - 2013
Goal #1 Meetings were held at the end of the semester to review courses and programs
Goal #2 A search is underway for a department chair and a graduate program director
Goal #3 The SEI course is now in the initial license sequence at the post-baccalaureate level. (Still awaiting DESE approval!!!)
