| What else should you know about our school? |
| South High Community School is a culturally and ethnically diverse comprehensive high school. We are home to the city-wide Goddard Scholars program, an accelerated academic magnet for highly-motivated, high-achieving students. To this end, SHCS offers 21 Advanced Placement courses and will be adding AP Capstone in the 2017-2018 school year. South High prides itself on offering a rich program in the Arts with award-winning band and chorus programs as well as a partnership with the Hanover Theater for the Arts. Athletic opportunities are provided through Varsity and Junior Varsity sports as well as through the Fit Club open to all students and staff. We have crafted pathways to vocations in Diesel Technology, Automotive, Culinary Arts and Early Childhood available to all students. South High has a robust life skills program and partners with local businesses to provide students with employment opportunities. South High is committed to community service and as such, both Andys Attic clothing pantry and a full-service food pantry are housed and managed within our school and provide services to the student body and greater Worcester County. |
