What else should you know about our school?
The Progress and Performance Index (PPI) is the measurement used to track the progress of the Massachusetts's districts, and schools toward the goal of closing proficiency gaps. Over the past four years, our annual PPI has increased from 30 to 75. This shows that we have made significant progress toward closing proficiency gaps for our students. Moreover, in 2013, we achieved the highest English Language Arts and Mathematics scores in our school's history. Nevertheless, we are convinced that we can do even better. Please be assured that we are dedicated to improving your child's school and district.

To continue the work of improving student achievement in our school this year, we are providing an extended learning time program, implementing a revised, standards-based mathematics and English Language Arts curricula, providing universal screening in reading and mathematics, providing individualized supplemental instruction to students whose learning must be accelerated in order to meet grade-level expectations, and implementing a new educator evaluation system.

An extended day program for students in grades three through six is in its second year of operation. The extended day students study a foreign language, extend their mathematics skills through Khan Academy, and explore the science and social studies curriculums through project based learning courses. This provides participating students with an additional120 hours of high quality instruction each year.
