Through our Mission Statement: WHS embeds core 21st century skills across the curriculum to prepare students for post-secondary education, careers and active citizenship.

The Weymouth High School community believes that . . . o all graduates will be proficient with 21st century skills. o all graduates will be college or career ready. o all graduates are capable of independently solving problems. o all students have something to offer our school and community.
This is accomplished through our Career Academies which allows student to focus their academic experience at Weymouth High School. These skills are being evaluated regularly using our school wide rubrics which address; collaboration, oral communication, problem solving, research, strategic reading, technology and written communication. In keeping with the mission of Weymouth High School "to prepare students for post-secondary education, careers, and active citizenship?, all Weymouth High School students will be required to apply their learning beyond the classroom through participation in community service and completion of the Capstone Project. Students will work with an advisor to complete an independent Capstone project which will synthesize their learning from the electives in their career academy as well as demonstrate command of core 21st century skills in a real-world context. Community service is a graduation requirement for Weymouth High School. It is intended to prepare students for active citizenship. Community service is an opportunity for students to demonstrate active citizenship by acting as responsible citizens who contribute to the improvement of their communities. This service also affords students the opportunity to enhance personal growth, build self- esteem and develop social skills. For our students who want to give even more to our community they have the opportunity to become a VIP. Our VIP program is a National Honors Society for volunteerism where students are recognized and celebrated for being Volunteers in Practice. Through this program students at Weymouth High School have completed over 56,000 hours of community service. The choices, opportunities, and student potential is limitless for students at Weymouth High School.
