| One or more schools in the district classified into Level 3 |
Most schools are assigned a level from 1-5, with those meeting their proficiency gap-narrowing goals in Level 1 and the lowest performing in Levels 4 and 5.
A district is typically assigned a level based on the level of its lowest performing school. Placing schools and districts into levels helps districts know which schools need more support,
and helps the state know which districts need the most assistance.

What else should you know about our school? |
The Thomas W. Hamilton Primary School works collaboratively to meet the needs of all learners. We are a Professional Learning Community dedicated to working together, effectively utilizing data and supporting resources to enhance our instructional practices, in an effort to provide the greatest learning outcomes for our students. We instill the importance of community, and know we will yield the greatest outcomes when it is a whole community effort.
To enhance student achievement in our school, we are providing targeted instruction that best meets students individual needs through use of an MTSS (Massachusetts Tiered Support System) model. For appropriate student social development, we have implemented a building-wide PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Support) model. This model is also used to provide intervention and support for students who exhibit social, emotional and/or behavioral concerns.
Finally, we strive to ensure a safe, structured, and positive environment that is conducive to optimal student learning and a productive school experience.
