| What else should you know about our school? |
| Mount Greylock Regional School is characterized by its strong, vibrant school culture, referred to as The Greylock Way, built on the shared values of integrity, responsibility and perseverance. With a primary goal of fostering academic curiosity and engagement, Mount Greylock serves students in grades 7-12 by offering a rigorous and varied curricular and co-curricular program. Strong 7th and 8th grade interdisciplinary teams support project-based learning at the middle school level. Students in high school can take advantage of myriad core offerings across disciplines at the college preparatory and honors levels. Students can pursue 13 Advanced Placement courses through our open enrollment program. Elective offerings focus on the performing and visual arts, computer science, technology, engineering and forensics, business, health/social-emotional wellness and leadership. Further, students meeting distinct academic criteria can pursue dual enrollment at Williams College, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and Berkshire Community College, including pursuing an alternative senior year composed of college-based classes. Virtual High School provides additional electives in an online environment. Work-based learning and independent study opportunities allow students to explore vocational and interdisciplinary interests. As important as Mount Greylocks academics are its co-curricular activities, including three drama productions, including a collaboration with Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA, a robust, title-winning athletics program, a First Robotics team, and dozens of student-directed clubs. Almost 80% of Mount Greylock students are involved in co-curriculars at the school with others pursuing co-curriculars beyond the school grounds. 85-90% of graduates pursue post-secondary education at 4- or 2-year institutions; other graduates enlist in the military or join the workforce. |
