| What else should you know about our school? |
Norwood High School is a community school tucked away in a beautiful suburban neighborhood, in contrast to the busy commercial activity on nearby route 1. The town is transforming to take the shape and face of our global community and culture, much like the rest of the United States. Similar to the spirit of the town, Norwood High School prides itself on its commitment to being a caring and inclusive environment, welcoming students and families from diverse backgrounds into the community.
Norwood High School provides students with the opportunity for a competitive academic program for those seeking post-secondary education, as well as a strong network of supports for students developing their performance and potential. Norwood High School offers courses at the AP level, and administers the PSAT exam for underclassmen. NHS students compete in statewide mock debates and model congress, as well as regional spelling bees and math team meets. Over 85% of NHS graduates attend 4 year schools or enroll in continuing education programs after high school.
The student body is actively engaged in a variety of activities, athletic and artistic endeavors. Norwood High School hosts award winning drama and music programs, as well as state champion athletic programs. There are a variety of student activities that capture the interests of different affinity groups, which both build and expand on the bonds formed by the community.
