Partnerships
Below is a list of the Massachusetts public school districts, charter schools or collaboratives identified as partner organizations along with a description of the partnerships. All information is reported by the educator preparation program provider.
Partnership Description:
The Fitchburg State University Education Unit, in collaboration with its school partners, designs, implements, and evaluates field experiences and clinical practice so that initial and advanced teacher candidates, non-licensure candidates, and other school personnel develop and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to help all students learn.
Initial Licensure programs at the graduate and undergraduate levels use four types of partnerships with regard to field experiences:
1. Campus school-based partnership with the McKay Arts Academy, an Innovation Pathways School
2. Formalized partnerships with schools that have entered into a formal agreement with the unit
3. Other partner schools that have not entered into a formal agreement but agree to host our candidates by providing exemplary practitioners for supervision who use best practices in their classrooms
4. Host school sites: This category includes sites with which the unit does not have a formal agreement but where candidates have been placed due to hardship or geographical issues
