Partnership Description:
Consistent with the Lynch School of Education mission dedicated to expanding the imagination, enhancing the human condition and making the world more just, Boston College has a rich and long history of collaborative partnerships with Boston, Newton and Brookline Public Schools, as well as with Catholic, private and charter schools in the greater Boston area serving increasingly diverse children and their families. These partnerships include carefully selected field placements for pre-service candidates, and numerous action research projects, urban immersion site based courses, professional development opportunities for in-service teachers, administrators and support professionals in schools and community based organizations. Boston College supports these partnerships through competitively awarded national grants that include Carnegie Foundation, Title III, National Science Foundation, Boston College Collaborative Fellow Grants, and many others.
