Annual Goals
This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

| Goal #1 |
We have completed the revision of candidate disposition criteria for licensure programs. For the upcoming year, we will: 1. Implement the revised dispositions. 2. Collect data and evaluate the implementation phase by the end of AY 2025-2026, making necessary adjustments based on findings |
| Goal #2 |
With the introduction of new DESE Guidelines for Educator Preparation Program Approval—including changes to the Professional Standards for Teachers (PSTs), the Candidate Assessment of Performance (CAP), and the Early Literacy Observation and Feedback Tool—we have begun revising our lesson plan rubric. In the upcoming year, we will: 1. Complete revisions to the lesson plan rubric, incorporating: o Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles o The updated PSTs and their language o Guiding questions for each indicator o Program-specific adaptations as necessary 2. Implement the revised rubrics and collect data to assess their effectiveness. 3. Conduct a data analysis by the end of AY 2025-2026 and make adjustments to the rubrics if needed. |

To strengthen the rigor of our programs and improve candidate success, we have reviewed the five stages of CAP and made targeted enhancements. For AY 2025-2026, we will: 1. Finalize revisions to the CAP stages and update program handbooks to ensure readiness for Fall implementation. 2. Provide professional training for faculty and supervisors in early Fall 2025 to support the transition. 3. Implement the updated CAP process and collect data through exit surveys to assess its impact, making necessary adjustments by the end of AY 2025-2026. |

| Goal #1 |
Continue our work that focuses on addressing the integrating of cultural proficiency and anti-racism that includes intersectionality of race, ethnicity, class, gender identity and expression, sexual identity, and the impact of language acquisition and literacy development on learning within each program along with common tools of assessment we will do the following: Review curriculum, mapping where this instruction is occurring, assuring that it is scaffolded throughout each program along with specific assessments, including the implementation into practice. |

Review and revise our Candidate Success Pipeline benchmarks to meet the current needs of our program/students. |

Increase the focus and assessment of candidates knowledge around social emotional learning and the connection between theory to practice. |

Analyze data gathered from new assessments on our candidates ability to engage and communicate with families/communities in order to foster relationships to assure that the data is providing us with the information we are seeking. |
