Annual Goals - 2025
Goal #1 Develop a strategic plan for introducing a new model of collaboration between Shady Hill and Lesley University. Additionally, Shady Hill will launch a new partnership with West Somerville Neighborhood School, led by a principal who once taught at Shady Hill. Two TCs will be mentored there during their practicum experience.
Goal #2 Shady Hill hired new faculty who will be mentored and prepared for initial licensure as teachers of record in order to build greater capacity for Shady Hill's teachers to supervise TCs CAP and practicum.
Goal #3 The Social Studies/Humanities methods course will be revised. Shady Hill's Head of School and Middle School principal are in the process of restructuring the admin team by hiring a Department Chair for Humanities. This professional is licensed in the field, has significant experience supervising educators, and has strong content knowledge. This person will share in the teaching and supervision of our middle school humanities and elementary TCs.
