Annual Goals
This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Educator preparation program improvement goals for the upcoming program year |
| Goal #1 |
MSAA's Leadership Licensure Program (LLP) is uniquely poised for the upcoming year as we become a licensure program only. LLP will not be offering any graduate credits for coursework in which the candidates participate, though candidates will earn 266 PDPS which can be applied to their Professional Development Plans for licensure renewal. LLP has revised and updated the Program of Studies in preparation for its first year as a stand-alone licensure program. The LLP Coordinator will assess the Program of Studies impact on the candidates learning throughout the year and make any changes needed to improve the Program of Studies. |
| Goal #2 |
In preparation for the new 2025-2026 Cohort, MSAA has recruited and/or retained a diverse faculty. The faculty is racially and culturally diverse as well as professionally diverse in the communities they serve or have served. The LLP Coordinator will work with the faculty to ensure instruction is focused on inclusionary practices, equitable and linguistically sustainable practices as well as the incorporation of anti-racist awareness and how those practices influence equitable opportunities for all students. |

As MSAA's LLP embarks on the upcoming school year as a stand-alone licensure program it is imperative that all aspects of the program are scrutinized and analyzed. Particular attention needs to be paid to the performance assessments which need to provide candidates the opportunity to develop evidence-based skills, including anti-racist and culturally linguistically sustaining practices, needed to be effective leaders. |
