Annual Goals
This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Educator preparation program improvement goals for the upcoming program year |
| Goal #1 |
The infrastructure of the current program will require attention to support the endorsement of licensure, recruitment and admission, and instruction for the courses we teach on-site. |
| Goal #2 |
We will continue to assess the quality of the admission process and experience of applicants. |
| Goal #3 |
We will focus on onboarding course instructors more effectively and hire individuals with experience teaching adult learners. |

Clarify, update, and document the roles and responsibilities of the teacher ed prep team, SPs, course instructors, and at Shady Hill School. |
| Goal #2 |
Strengthen partnership between Shady Hill School's Teacher Training Center and Gardner Pilot Academy, Boston University, He Is Me, CityYear, Breakthrough, and Lesley University to recruit and enroll a diverse teaching corps. |
| Goal #3 |
Collaborate with directors of other teacher ed programs to assess course offerings, curriculum, delivery of instruction, and course load. |

| Goal #1 |
We will need to clarify roles and responsibilities in job descriptions given that we are leading four ed prep programs with a down-sized staff. |
| Goal #2 |
We have launched a new partnership focused on creating a pipeline for African American men. We have 1 African American male in the 2022-23 cohort in math. |
| Goal #3 |
We will revise our pre-practicum and practicum course with a focus on anti-bias practice. |
