Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Educator preparation program improvement goals from the prior year
Goal #1 Complete the redesign of undergraduate licensure programs to reflect changes in content requirements and enhance our focus on literacy and equity.
Goal #2 Increase our capacity to support pre-service teachers in designing, implementing and reflecting on early literacy instruction in supervised field experience situations.
Goal #3 Plan, organize and integrate specific equitable grading practices into department assessments.

Goal #1 Increase the recruitment of diverse candidates to all programs.
Goal #2 Redesign of the introductory experiences of our 4 undergraduate licensure programs to imbed common experiences around foundational, developmental, special education, and multicultural components.
Goal #3 Gateway data: Managing, organizing and interpreting data collected to inform program improvement and redesign as well as support student skill development.
