Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Annual Goals - 2023
Goal #1 Expand recruitment efforts to attract more applicants to preparation program.
Goal #2 Further enhance efforts to collect and assess data to better determine candidate impact on improved outcomes for PK-12 students. Last year we made changes to the Supervising Practitioner retreat and the 2nd 3-way meetings to examine data. This year candidates will reflect on the impact their instructional had on student learning in their final portfolio and/or final exhibition.
Goal #3 Review program and identify areas for future revision to begin to address the new Ed Prep program requirements.

Annual Goals - 2022
Goal #1 Revise placement sites for teachers of record of are seeking to secure Initial licensure so that more interns are placed at few sites increasing opportunities for intern collaboration and increased observation by Program Supervisor.
Goal #2 Enhance instructor of SEI strategies through increased observation sites and instructor of specialized SEI module on SEI lesson planning and assessment.
Goal #3 Collect and assess data to better determine candidate impact on improved outcomes for PK-12 students.

Annual Goals - 2021
Goal #1 Increase placement sites for teachers of record of are seeking to secure Initial licensure.
Goal #2 Further integrate observation protocols to enhance transfer from observation of excellent instruction to candidates' instructional practice. (This is a continuation of 2020-2021 beyond COVID pandemic conditions.)
Goal #3 Secure future instructors of specialized modules to increase candidate exposure to specialists.
