Annual Goals
This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed. Data last updated October, 04 2023.

Educator preparation program improvement goals for the upcoming program year |
Goal #1 |
Continue to advocate for more instructional support to build capacity for the Teacher Education Program. The Education Department will hire 2 tenure-track faculty during the 2022-2023 academic year. |
Goal #2 |
Procure a data management system to enhance effective data analysis; and to utilize analyses to make improvements to the Teacher Education Program. |
Goal #3 |
Use DESE's "Culturally Responsive Look-Fors" as a guide to evaluate and map the existing curricula of the TPP to consider when, how frequently, and how extensively culturally responsive/sustainable teaching is purposefully addressed and taught throughout the TPP and make adjustments accordingly. |

Goal #1 |
To advocate for more financial and instructional support from the Organization to build and capacity needed to maintain the quality of our Teacher Education Program. |
Goal #2 |
To procure a Data Management Assessment System appropriate for Education to enhance effective data collection, analysis and reporting. |
Goal #3 |
To provide pedagogical strategies for effective instruction at the level of the license; and review curriculum offerings and objectives for greater coherence across all programs. |

Educator preparation program improvement goals from the prior year |
Goal #1 |
To reach out to 50 students of color and influence them to become educators; and recruit 10 students of color during the 2020 - 2021 academic year to matriculate in the Teacher Education Program (in fall 2020 and spring 2021) |
Goal #2 |
To continue collaborating with WPS and JET in preparing 20 Para-Professionals for the MTEL exams and 15 to take courses leading to a degree in teaching, and support 5 to achieve a teaching license. |
Goal #3 |
To conduct a needs on Culturally Responsive Teaching and analyze the results to determine next steps for the department as a whole. |
