Annual Goals
This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed. Goal #1 |
Students will develop an electronic FBE journal that will be used and maintained throughout the course of their teacher preparation program. Using questions designed for the FBEs and found in the Prepracticum Handbook and in the Student Teaching Handbook, students will reflect on their experiences in their FBEs and use what they are learning to improve their practice. The particular focus of the reflections will be on the following PST: -Designs effective and rigorous standards-based units of instruction consisting of well-structured lessons with measurable outcomes. |
Goal #2 |
Using the Assessment and Curriculum classes as a vehicle, students will develop and use: a variety of informal and formal methods of assessment to measure student learning, growth, and understanding, develop differentiated and enhanced learning experiences, and improve future instruction. |
Goal #3 |
The ENC faculty will continue to develop effective Gateway assessments to use with our candidates, providing feedback to them about areas for improvement and areas of strength as they prepare for the practicum experience. |

The faculty of the Teacher Education Program will continue to work with content faculty in the college to strengthen/update the SMK content knowledge for candidates as they prepare to enter the teaching profession. |
