This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed. Goal #1
All educator prep programs across Simmons work together to regularize feedback from stakeholders to improve consistency of such feedback and implement systematic response to cause improvement, for example, in continuous review and revision of field experiences and curriculum for inclusion of SMK requirements.
Goal #2
Cross program updates on partnerships each semester, sharing ways to support partners post-COVID-19, improving working relationships with current partners, and forging ahead with new partnerships, for example with Boston Public Schools for the field of school library teachers.
Goal #3
Work with placement sites to ensure that field-based learning will continue to be robust post-COVID 19, especially at the vulnerable but important pre-practicum level for the teaching programs.
