Annual Goals
This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed. Data last updated January 16, 2025.

Goal #1 |
Continue to develop and implement strategies to retain students of color in our licensure programs. |
Goal #2 |
Articulate professional dispositions for our pre-service teachers, and incorporate these expectations throughout our program. |
Goal #3 |
As teaching and learning in the 2020-21 school year may be take place in both virtual and physical environments, the Art Education department will continue to develop resources and supports for our students across platforms. |

Goal #1 |
Ensure that MassArt continues to provide Supervising Practitioners and Program Supervisors opportunities for training and professional development, and multiple avenues for support, that impacts candidate effectiveness. |
Goal #2 |
Ensure and verify that secured field-based experience placements meet MassArt expectations and regulatory requirements for high-quality placements for all candidates. |
Goal #3 |
Analyze data as to our Candidates of color and develop strategies to support them, including the state licensure tests (MTELs). |
