Goal #2 Establish advisory board to provide guidance to professional/advanced licensure programs. Board will include deans, chairs, coordinators, P-12 representatives; bringing stakeholders together.
Goal #3 Strengthen candidate subject matter knowledge. Success will be measured through candidates' grades, MTEL scores, and performance in the practicum.

Annual Goals - 2019
Goal #1 Partnership agreements have been approved with 10 MetroWest school districts. The College of Education Dean will explore possible partnership agreements with Boston and Quincy Public Schools. A collaborative relationship with these two urban school districts will afford candidates an opportunity to have field and clinical experiences in a greater diverse environment. During the next academic year, a special stakeholder meeting will be held each semester to garner more program and candidate performance data/input from teachers and principals. These two meetings will be in addition to our once a semester Teacher Education Advisory Council meeting.
Goal #2 Complete development and establish pilot for implementation of pre-practicum guidelines. The FSU Teacher Education Advisory Council has drafted a template to document the observation and gateway assessment plans for all Initial licensure programs. The next step is to use the template to develop plans for each Initial licensure program. The final step will be to choose a program or programs to serve as the 2019-2020 pilot of the observation process and gateway assessments.
Goal #3 Review all programs and modify as necessary to meet new SMK requirements. Faculty are participating in workshops and working collaboratively to identify and implement any necessary changes in course content.

Annual Goals - 2018
Goal #1 Restructure Secondary Education methods courses and placement practices to accommodate the new 5-12 grade level for History and English as well as the Earth Science 8-12
Goal #2 Implement changes to accommodate the new SMKs and pre-practicum guidelines
Goal #3 Analyze survey data and CAP ratings to identify strengths and challenges; begin addressing up to two challenges.
