Annual Goals
This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

| Goal #1 |
We will be working with a teacher who has yet to participate in the CAP. We will schedule a number of meetings with her to review and discuss the CAP so that she is well-prepared for a student teacher in September, 2018. |
| Goal #2 |
Beginning during AY2018-19, we will require that students engaging in pre-practicum and practicum experiences videotape a lesson they take primary responsibiity for crafting and teaching. |
| Goal #3 |
We will explore the idea of partnering with Newberry College - a partnership where Newberry's students would complete their general core requirements at NC, and then, if accepted, complete the requirements for a concentration in elementary education at Hellenic College. |

Educator preparation program improvement goals from the prior year |
| Goal #1 |
Beginning in fall 2017, students will be placed in schools during the second semester of their second year. Historically, we have placed students in classrooms the first semester of their junior year. |
| Goal #2 |
We are initiating an outreach campaign aimed at attracting stufdents to the elementary education program. The Admissions Office is working with us to hone a message that will be sent out to over 200,000 families. In addtion, the College will be offering scholarships for entering elementary education students. |

We are continuing to inform teachers we work with in the schools about the CAP. During the AY2017-18, we will introduce the CAP to 2 SPs who have yet to participate in the new process. |
