Annual Goals
This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed. Data last updated October, 04 2023.

Goal #1 |
Identify appropraite evidence for high expectations in the CAP and develop strategies for a model of feedback for this element |
Goal #2 |
Remove the second major as a requirement for early childhood and elementary. With this program change, the department is reviewing all courses in elementary and early childhood programs of study to align courses chosen to meet the SMK and MA Curriculum Framework requirements. |
Goal #3 |
Deepen partnerships in districts that were previously made which now have new leadership. |

Goal #1 |
Identify new documents that will be helpful to collect to demonstrate improvement of practice for preservice teachers and teacher candidates. |
Goal #2 |
Assign an in-depth measure of student learning that is designed, constructed, implemented, analyzed and evaluated by teacher candidate that will be graphically displayed and used as significant evidence for being a teacher candidate ready to teach day one. |
Goal #3 |
Every 10 observations completed in the Math Clinic will be scored on a 50-point rubric to determine implementation of evidence-based practice covered in course work. |
