Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Annual Goals - 2017
Goal #1 We will increase the percentage of undergraduate students who take and pass the General Curriculum Math MTEL immediately after taking MAT106, Math for Educators.
Goal #2 We will review and update the policies and procedures of the Education Division, and communicate them to all involved, including adjunct faculty.
Goal #3 We will conduct at least one professional development opportunity for full-time and adjunct faculty regarding best practices in the classroom

Annual Goals - 2016
Goal #1 Increase the percentage of undergraduate students passing the Communications and Literacy MTEL after their first year in the program.
Goal #2 Increase the percentage of undergraduate students who pass the General Curriculum-Math MTEL after their second year in the program.
Goal #3 Fully implement the revised CAP in the student teaching practicum.

Progress Toward Goals - 2016
Goal #1 We were able to increase the percentage of first year students who passed the Communications and Literacy MTEL to 87%. That is a 21% increase.
Goal #2 We did not meet this goal. Most of the students did not even attempt the General Curriculum Math MTEL in a timely way.
Goal #3 We were able to fully implement the CAP.

Annual Goals - 2015
Goal #1 Increase the number of undergraduates who take and pass the Communications and Literacy MTEL after their first year at Elms. (All licenses)
Goal #2 Increase the number of undergraduates who take and pass the General Curriculum-Math MTEL after their second year at Elms. (Elementary & Moderate Disabilities licenses)
Goal #3 Implement the PST within the student teaching seminar.

Goal #1 Meeting May 17, 2016 to discuss results.
Goal #2 Meeting May 17, 2016 to discuss results
Goal #3 PSTs full-implemented in methods courses and the practicum.
