This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Goal #1
Focus on recruiting candidates interested in pursuing 1st and second additional licensure through 5th year program.
Goal #2
We are working to develop additional programs of study leading to initial licensure in Math Education at the middle and high school levels. We are also working on developing programs of study leading to initial licensure and endorsements in severe special needs Autism and Transition Specialist.

Investigating other organizational structures within the larger college context including exploring schools.

Goal #1
5th year MED program launched. Good response from internal and external candidates pursuing two degrees and two licenses in five years. Developing systems for tracking and executing events for current and future students.
Goal #2
New programs in the areas of high school math, middle school math, severe special education, transition specialist, and autism endorsements have been approved by the College. Applications to ESE are in process.

Continue to discuss and consider re-organization into a possible school structure.

Goal #1
Further development of partnerships in order to define, formalize and systematize relationships with school districts and collaboratives.
Goal #2
Utilize new Massachusetts SMK and PST standards to ensure curricular alignment, candidate development and create opportunities for program development.
Goal #3
Continue to build on more internal and external data collection systems to enhance program analysis, candidate readiness and district/institutional partnerships.

Goal #1
We consider the districts and schools that our candidates (UG, GRAD and PSL) complete field experiences in to be partner districts. Continued efforts are being made develop relationships and experiences that benefit candidates, as well as districts/collaboratives.
Goal #2
We have made curricular changes at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in order to align with new PSTs and SMKs as indicate. Intended learning outcomes for some courses have been revised to reflect the changes.
Goal #3
We continue to develop internal methods of data collection systems to inform continuous improvement and programmatic changes. Efforts over the past year have focused on developing surveys for input and feedback from our partners in the field in order to inform coursework and field experiences.
