Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Annual Goals - 2017
Goal #1 Use social media to promote and inform elementary education, math, 5-8, and moderate disabilities, prek-8 teachers about the professional license program.
Goal #2 Identify a liaison in each Worcester County school district
Goal #3 Meet with all first year teachers in the Worcester Public Schools in August to promote the professional license program with a particular emphasis on math, 5-8 and minority teachers.

Annual Goals - 2016
Goal #1 Strengthen our efforts to recruit more male teachers into the professional license program.
Goal #2 Strengthen our partnerships with area school districts and solicit their support in helping us promote the professional license program with staff.
Goal #3 Find new and creative ways to promote the professional license program so more teachers are aware of this alternative pathway to professional license.

Progress Toward Goals - 2016
Goal #1 Progress is minimal as only 14% of the professional license program participants ate male. We were hoping for 20%.
Goal #2 Area school districts are receptive to assisting French River Education Center in the promotion of the professional license programs with their district's instructional staff teaching with an initial license.
Goal #3 We use direct email and French River's web site to promote the professional license programs. We also encourage program completers to tell their colleagues about their experience.

Annual Goals - 2015
Goal #1 Recruit more male teachers to the program.
Goal #2 Recruit more minority teachers to the program.
Goal #3 Recruit more middle school math teachers to the program.

Progress Toward Goals - 2015
Goal #1 The number of male teachers in the program is down. Every effort is being made to insure that male teachers are aware of this alternative pathway to professional license.
Goal #2 There are no minority teachers in the program, though every effort is being made to insure that minority teachers are aware of this alternative pathway to professional license.
Goal #3 Middle school math teacher enrollment is down despite our efforts to insure that middle school math teachers are aware of this alternative pathway to professional license.
