Annual Goals - 2017
Educator preparation program improvement goals for the upcoming program year
Annual Goals - 2016
Educator preparation program improvement goals from the prior year
Goal #1
Our first and primary goal this year continues to be recruitment of potential students. We broadened our reach to include more undergrad program nation wide, including college Hillels and Jewish Study departments. We have worked more closely with our alumni through their facebook and private contacts.
Goal #2
With fewer applicants and fewer students, a very important goal is to work collaboratively with the general MAT team to plan for a fuller integration of Delet into the MAT program.
Goal #3
Creating a stronger alliance and partnership with our Jewish day schools who provide mentoring to our students.
Progress Toward Goals - 2016
Progress made toward prior program year goals

Goal #3
sharing institutional resources with Brandeis to lower budget and diversify student experiences
Progress Toward Goals - 2015
Progress made toward prior program year goals
Goal #1
Goal one was about increasing recruitment. While we expanded our recruitment efforts, we actually saw a decrease in inquiries and applicants. This is troubling indeed but perhaps the low applicant rate is a result of the current economic market and the challenges in teacher preparation as a whole and in preparation for Jewish day schools in particular.
Goal #2
Initially, our scholarship were a non-issue as we had a rich source of outside, private funding. Unfortunately our funding sources have been dramatically reduced. Along with the university's development team, we sought other funding groups with little to no yield. It appears that the funding a program that trains people to be teachers in Jewish day schools, is not popular.
Goal #3
This last goal continues to be relevant to our program. As our funding decreased, along with our enrollment, we have had to pool our resources with the public MAT program. Our conversations with the Education leadership is on-going to this very day. Progress in being made in integrating Delet more fully into the general MAT program.
