Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Annual Goals - 2016
Goal #1 Establish deep interactive partnerships with school districts to inform student assignments, practicum activities and dissertations in practice.
Goal #2 Continue to focus on program recruitment and curriculum articulation and coordination.

Annual Goals - 2015
Goal #1 Increase the ability of PSAP-LLPS to recruit and retain a cadre of students who are committed to leading Mass. School districts and who reflect the diversity of the Commonwealth.
Goal #2 Continue to collaborate and coordinate the PSAP-LLPS curriculum to provide breadth and depth of content, a balance of scholarly and practitioner perspective, while maintaining the unique qualities of the program.

Progress Toward Goals - 2015
Goal #1 In July of 2015 PSAP/LLPS recruited and selected its most diverse cohort. Cohort #4's membership includes 17 woman, 9 men and 7 persons of color. The students of PSAP/LLPS Cohort 4 work in a variety of settings. For example, 12 are administrators in city school districts, 9 in suburban systems, 2 private in schools, and 1 each in rural and charter settings.
Goal #2 On April 2, 2015, LLPS held a day-long instructor's retreat at Teachers21. The goals of the retreat were as follows: --Introduce LLPS faculty and staff and continue to grow our learning community --Gain clarity about program components --Share best instructional, evaluation and communication practices --Identify areas (curricular, organizational, etc.) needing focus and attention --Suggest module assignments and district activities that could be used in the 500 hour licensure practicum Progress has been achieved in each of the goals listed.
