Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Annual Goals - 2016
Goal #1 Create a partnership with a higher education institution to offer a moderate disabilities licensure.
Goal #2 Recruit candidates for the Moderate Disabilities cohort to begin in Fall 2017.
Goal #3 Provide Supervising Practitioners mentorship training to support licensure candidates' field based experience.

Goal #1 TRI's goal is to for continued efforts to be proactive in recruiting candidate pool with the knowledge, skills and dispositions that aligned with PSTs and TRIs program components.

Progress Toward Goals - 2015
Goal #1 Due to the fact that there are fewer educators in MA that want to be principals our application pool is low. Compensation for long term teachers has approached the compensation for principals so teachers are rethinking becoming a principal. We will continue to recruit and select only qualified candidates for the program.

Annual Goals - 2014
Goal #1 TRI's goal is for continued outreach with Superintendents and Principals to educate them on the 40 years of research in reading development and why their reading specialists should be trained in the science of reading.

Goal #1 TRI conducted phone conversations and in-person meetings with local superintendents and principals about TRI's programs.
