Annual Goals
This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Goal #1 |
Improve the use of data and technology to: a.) assess the effectiveness of all programs b.) support instructors and candidates in their use of data and technology |
Goal #2 |
Increase the opportunity for candidates to interact with diverse populations by requiring all candidates to spend a minimum of 2 days during their program in a diverse setting and require all candidates to complete the SEI course |

Educator preparation program improvement goals from the prior year |
Goal #1 |
Increase the opportunity for candidates to interact with diverse populations by requiring all candidates to spend a minimum of 14 hours during their Practicum in diverse settings and requiring all candidates to successfully complete the ESE-approved SEI course. |
Goal #2 |
Increase candidate's ability to: a.) integrate technology into curricula and instruction as evidenced in classroom observations during the Practicum and/or implementation of Action Research project b.) collect, manage and analyze data as evidenced in Action Research conclusions and/or course assignments (Curriculum Design, Practicum Seminar, Action Research Part II). |

The 14 hour diversity requirement was amended to one full day due to the fact that the majority of our candidates afre teachers of record; all candidates completed this requirement |

a.) All candidates received a rating of 2 or 3 on PPA indicators A-7 and B2f; b.) all professional license candidates were required to use technology to analyze data from their Action Research Capstone c.) 2 workshops were held for instrucors on the use of newly purchased technology |
