Annual Goals
This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Goal #1 |
Implement SEI Endorsement Course: Accomplished. Implemented Fitchburg State University's SEI course (37.5 hours) and 25-hour pre-service requirement. |
Goal #2 |
Actively recruit people of color. Accomplished. Recruited and interviewed 12 people of color; NTC15 included 25% people of color. |
Goal #3 |
Strengthen partnership with university to develop pathway of teacher preparation, from pre-service through induction/mentoring, Years 1-3. Accomplished. Syllabi for four (4) graduate level courses were written to align with FSU master's degree and approved for FSU graduate level credit:
Foundations in Teaching and Learning; Developing Effective Teaching Practice; Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment; and Practicum. These courses expand upon and replace previous modules/topics, and each demands practical application, transfer, and demonstration of mastery. In addition, in pilot year of induction and mentoring program, eighteen (18) teachers were served in two schools. |
