Progress Toward Goals - 2013
Progress made toward prior program year goals
Goal #1
Public school apprentices had a 16-week practicum experience in Boston or Watertown. Apprentices who stayed all year at SHS were exposed to ELL and SPED students through school visits and academic coursework.
Goal #2
Inquiries: 2010 300 2011 297 2012 215
Applications: 2010 61 2011 60 2012 43
Decline in applications is likely due to organizational shifts at Lesley, applicants' financial need, Newtown tragedy, more program competition. Other programs experienced similar drops. We continued to attract strong applicants.
Goal #3
We met this goal. Our recruited cohort was 43% people of color.
