Supervisors will receive an overview of a definition of a candidate-at-risk and be trained in identifying such candidates and reporting to the LLP Coordinator. The LLP Coordinator will conduct monthly interviews with each supervisor and instructor to insure candidates are meeting the practicum and LLP requirements. LLP will develop a written waiver policy
Goal #2 LLP will conduct a thorough review portfolio assessment and other assessment procedures to insure they accurately reflect a candidate's readiness for the licensure role. Monthly communication between the LLP Coordinator, supervisors, mentors, and instructors will be conducted by the LLP Coordinator with attention to targeted feedback to candidates. All of these stakeholders will better understand the final determination of each candidate for licensure
Goal #3 LLP will develop a written evaluation system for each supervisor. To insure greater support for each candidate. In addition, the LLP Supervisor/Mentor Handbook will be updated to address issues articulated in the DESE Formal Review.
