| What else should you know about our school? |
Chandler Magnet School serves four hundred and eighty-two students in grades PK to sixth grade. One of our greatest strengths is our diverse cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic population. Chandler Magnet students bring a vast majority of experiences from many different countries from many parts of the world. As a public magnet school, we draw from all of the neighborhoods in the City of Worcester and the majority of our students are English Learners. Our major focus every year is to help all our students develop English language proficiency through content.
Our school has one of the two Dual Language Programs in the city and has the only Transitional Bilingual Education Program serving grades kindergarten through sixth grade. To best serve our community, we offer a variety of parent engagement opportunities that are provided by our teachers, administrators, and outreach staff. Many of our staff members speak a second language and all our teachers are SEI endorsed. |
