Annual Goals - 2023

Annual Goals - 2022
Goal #1 Westfield has entered into a new partnership with Discovery High School in the Springfield Empowerment Zone. WSU will begin offering education coursework to students in the high school building in the spring of 2023 and hosting collaborative meeting with faculty and staff to build out future offerings throughout the school year.
Goal #2 Using data from the Gateway Assessments, our Dispositional Assessment, and our Student Teacher Survey, WSU will gather data the effectiveness of our Social Justice and ARE curriculum and instruction. Revisions will be made based on data findings.
Goal #3 Curricular revisions to the Education Core including additions to address changing SMKs and PSTs are being fully implemented in 22-23.

Annual Goals - 2021
Goal #1 Continue to build the Reach-to-Teach program & Mass Teach STEAM program with our current partner, the Springfield Public School District. Due to impact of the pandemic during AY 2020-2021, we were not able to expand the program with the Holyoke Public School District, Holyoke Community College, and Springfield Technical Community College as planned. Our goal for AY 2021-2021 is to expand these programs and develop an MOU with the Holyoke School District and work with the aforementioned community colleges to develop a more robust pipeline.
Goal #2 Full implementation of curricular revisions designed to fully integrate SMKs and PSTs in all licensure programs is anticipated for Fall 2021.
Goal #3 Curricular revisions designed to infuse social justice and anti-racist content throughout coursework in all licensure programs are currently underway. This is an ongoing goal that will continue in AY 2021-2022.
