Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Annual Goals - 2021
Goal #1 Explore additional needs-based partnerships with 2-3 additional school districts which host teacher and administrator candidates often.
Goal #2 Implement modality change in post-baccalaureate teacher and administrator programs in order to bolster enrollment and expand opportunities for prospective educators to gain access to these programs.
Goal #3 Determine/analyze the effectiveness of gateway assessments at pre-practicum levels in the baccalaureate and post-baccalaureate levels.

Annual Goals - 2020
Goal #1 Goal: Launch Preferred Partnership Agreement with Milton Public Schools. Launch discussions and begin planning initiatives focused on diversifying the pipeline of teacher and administrator candidates.
Goal #2 Goal: Launch the Sunita Williams Partnership Program in Summer 2020. Review needs of the partner school/district. Monitor inputs, delivery of program, and in spring 2021, begin to assess outcomes based on first-year data trends.
Goal #3 Goal: Develop and work on appropriate integration of coursework for students pursuing MOD Disabilities license in the 5th year program leading to MED program. Review curriculum for duplication of content from UG designated special education courses, as well as in graduate program.

Annual Goals - 2019
Goal #1 Continued and on-going review of curriculum and alignment to newly revised SMK's at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Expand new learning outcomes work at the course level to required Arts and Sciences courses.
Goal #2 Goal: Continue to develop and expand partnerships for variety of field placements. Add partnerships which specifically support 5th year students pursuing a second license in securing internships or fellowships.
Goal #3 Goal: Investigate the feasibility of implementing CAP 2.0 System to ensure training of Program Supervisors and Supervising Practitioners and Candidates.
