Annual Goals - 2023

Annual Goals - 2022
Goal #1 We are currently in discussions with local school districts to offer Dual Enrollment/ Early College classes to juniors and seniors. This will focus on first generation students and expose them to the requirements of the Ed Prep Program and college in general.
Goal #2 We are working on a plan to assist local educators on emergency licensure to meet all the requirements for initial licensure. Additionally, we are encouraging any school employees, including paraprofessionals, to consider taking courses to take licensure requirements.
Goal #3 In order to give our sophomore students more experience in the field, we are looking to reimplement a minimum of 20 hours of observation as part of EDU 203 Intro to Teaching. This will allow them to observe master teachers and begin to develop their own pedagogy.

Annual Goals - 2021
Goal #1 All TCs will be required to have online Education Portfoliio to demonstrate evidence of their teaching and data collection of learning, CAP documents, resumes, and artifacts. These will be used during the Portfolio Defense at the end of Practicum. Portions of this online portfolio can be shared with districts, as needed, for interviews.
Goal #2 All sophomores, who have not passed the Communication and Literacy MTEL, will be required to attend a specific number of MTEL tutoring sessions as part of their course requirements. This will be implemented to improve higher pass rates on this test.
Goal #3 We will offer a new freshman course in the fall, First Year Seminar, that will focus on current issues in education, technology in the classroom, social justice, and pedagogy practices.
