Annual Goals

This report lists the annual improvement goals reported to ESE in the educator preparation program provider’s state annual report. Providers may report up to three goals for the upcoming year and are asked to report on progress made toward the prior year’s goals. Annual goals are reported in May of the academic year listed.

Annual Goals - 2022
Goal #1 Utilize course evaluation and feedback data as a guide to improve content, identify better instructional strategies and better incorporate adult learning theory so that feedback about the program is a demonstration of high-quality instructional experiences that is responsive to participants.
Goal #2 Involve the faculty in the development and the adjustments to the curriculum to create a throughline of topics/experiences so participants make connections, over the life of the program, that will inform a theory-based definition of effective leadership that is authentic to their leadership style.
Goal #3 Involve current practitioners in the development and delivery of the content to ensure relevancy.

Annual Goals - 2021
Goal #1 Implement and monitor internal and external supports for Supervising Practitioners and Program Supervisors.
Goal #2 Implement improved modes of communication to provide candidates with high-quality, targeted feedback during field-based experiences that improves their practice (i.e. student and supervisor surveys, regular emails, and interviews
Goal #3 Review program curriculum in detail and create an updated curriculum map to better identify and align standards, domains and elements; responding to revised professionals standards for administrative leadership.
